The reintroduced Colonial Sofa dates back to 1964 though few people know that Ole Wanscher actually designed this 2-seater Sofa at the time. The Colonial Sofa comes with loose cushions and the seat moves freely in the frame, which features a cotton webbing base.

The design communicates Wanscher’s fondness for refined detailing. The OW149-2 Colonial Sofa features a relatively simple lattice construction, its elements supporting one another. The slender dimensions are minimal, the design’s strength achieved instead through a well-conceived structure that includes double center legs for strength.
The sofa is as a reimagination of his popular OW149 Colonial Chair from 1949 and is part of the Colonial Series, which also features the OW449 Colonial Coffee Table and the OW149F Colonial Footstool.
