Italian design master Alessandro Mendini revisits the classic Italian espresso maker, created in 1933 by Alberto Alessi's grandfather, Alfonso Bialetti. By revisiting a classic that is part of the collective memory of the Italian public, Mendini pays tribute to the history of the Italian espresso maker, and more broadly, to Italy.

From the original model, Mocha retains the same technical characteristics, only the shape has changed. While the original octagonal version was inspired by Futurism and Art Deco, the Coffee maker imagined by Alessandro Mendini is characterized by its roundness and curved lines... The designer has also made a number of improvements: the thickness of the material has been optimized, the volumes of the containers have been recalculated and the ergonomics of the knob have been reviewed.
