Featuring a special pale rose powder coated inner side, which neatly counters a wet-finish white outer, the 150th Anniversary Edition of the PH 5 is a simply executed piece of design. Henningsen’s approach to the PH 5 came out of a disdain for the harsh and unflattering lightbulbs of the late 1950s, and from a desire to eliminate the focus on a bulb within a lighting structure. He meticulously designed the 5 shades that make up the pendant in order for them to work together to diffuse and cast light evenly, making for a pleasant, glare-free ambience.
