Designed by Florence Knoll
Manufactured by Knoll

When Florence Knoll transformed the traditional private office configuration by replacing the executive desk with a table, she needed to provide an alternative to the lost storage space. Her solution was the Credenza. The low cabinet’s iconic design works equally well in a dining room as it does in an office.

Pricing example is for a cabinet with 2 doors (ref 2545) shown in first image. Please enquire for other models and sizes in the range. Many more finishes available. Please enquire for further details.

Story

Prior to the pioneering approach of Florence Knoll and the Knoll Planning Unit, executive offices in America were nearly all planned the same way.
Seeking to create a space better suited to the executive’s primary function — communication — Florence reconsidered the illogical layout from an architectural perspective. To execute this new layout, Florence introduced the Credenza in 1961. The elegant design exuded executive quality, and clearly exhibited Mies van der Rohe’s impact on Florence’s approach to design.
