Plissé is a folding technique known from fashion that enjoys timeless popularity. The designer Michele De Lucchi took it as a model for his design of the electric water boiler Plissé by Alessi and created a water boiler that is anything but functional. The folded design turns the kettle into a sculptural object of timeless beauty. A slightly flared body and a protruding handle complete the look.
