Design House Stockholm

Founded by Anders Färdig, Design House Stockholm started as a creative product development company for other brands in 1992.
Deciding to distinguish DHS as a publisher of design rather than a conventional producer, working in the same way with designers that publishing houses work with authors. Rather than selecting a designer to make a specific product, all designers are invited to bring their personal ideas. Some of these ideas are selected for development and production. Selecting products that add something new to their genre. Products with personality and character.
Their ambition is to gather a collection of the very best Scandinavian design today. The term ‘Scandinavian’ refers to a philosophic and aesthetic perspective, rather than geography and nationality: they have French, German, Australian, American and Chilean designers in their network. The result is a collection of design classics with timeless appeal and qualities that outlives temporary trends.
